Lake Charles Civic Center

Lake Charles Civic Center is located in the city of Lake Charles, Louisiana. It is built on a reclaimed area right beside the lake. It was built in the 70s. Since then, it has hosted a lot of shows, concerts, and pop acts. This downtown attraction is composed of 3 parts and 3 levels. One of its main arenas is the Sudduth Coliseum that has a capacity of 7,450 seats. The coliseum is known to hosts basketball games, competition, gymnastics, and a lot more sporting activities. On the south side is the Rosa Hart Theater. It has a capacity of 2,050 people and can be used for dance recitals and theater performances. Inside the civic center is the Bord du Lac Park that features tennis courts.

The civic center is accessible to towns of Iowa and DeQuincy. Aside from Lake Charles Civic Center, there are several attractions in Lake Charles. McMurray Ball Park is a recreational area in the middle of the town. It is where baseball games are held. Sabine National Wildlife Refuge is for travelers who are looking for hunting opportunities.  It is located in Cameron Parish in the southwest part of the state.
