Nantes Atlantique Airport - NTE
Nantes Atlantique Airport is an international airport with the airport code NTE located in the commune of Bouguenais, France, approximately 6 miles from the city center of Nantes, which it serves. Formerly known as Aéroport Château Bougon, it is ranked third in size among the airports in the west of France. Although the maximum capacity of the airport is at 3 million passengers per year, it received a record 6.1 million passenger in 2018, a 12.9% increase from the previous year. Nantes Atlantique Airport is a hub for Transavia France, Volotea, and EasyJet.

The origins of the airport can be traced back to a military airfield on part of its current location in 1928. Today, its facilities include one asphalt runway, and a single passenger terminal for both international and domestic flights. The passenger terminal building is L-shaped, and divided into four halls. The airport also has a separate freight terminal, as well as an Airbus factory. For visitors planning to stay a while in Nantes, there is an express shuttle bus that connects the stop outside the passenger terminal to the city centre and the Nantes railway station. Other towns worth visiting when flying in to Nantes Atlantique Airport are Sautron and Reze in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France.
